Compress your messages with zstd before posting in order to get around small character limits

Or you know, you could move to an instance with admins who aren't fucking awful and actually give you a decent character limit

In current year we can handle storing more than 500 characters (despite what @gargron wants to to think)

@feditips I'm honestly surprised that I'm not seeing widespread use of text as images with alt text to at least get more chars in Mastodon. (AFAIK, alt text has a larger limit, more than twice the post limit, and the image itself of course won't enforce any limit, other than possibly applying lossy compression)
