@chfour Is there any story for this?

It's ortholinear, so unlikely to follow typewriters, and I don't recognize it being based on letter frequency of languages I know (while the first row is a video game name).

Unless these are commands that just look like letters.

@lukyan @chfour I‘m guessing this is just designed for G-Code where most common Letters are G, X, Y, Z, M, I, J or something like that

@tsia_ @chfour So commands that look like letters, or Etaoin shrdlu-style frequent letters first keyboard. Reasonable (and completely alien with no knowledge of CNC).

@tsia_ @lukyan yeah that's my guess, iirc gcode consists mostly of "G[bunchanumbers]"
