today in "France's ongoing slide into overt fascism and state-sponsored transphobia", right-wing groups led in majority by the far-right managed to vote an amendment on an upcoming law to allow train agents to physically search anyone they want. The change forces the inspecting agent to be of the same sex as the suspect, replacing the previous letter of the text that determined who would inspect the suspect based on their gender.

The argument? "We cannot have an agent who thinks they're non-binary[sic] in every station, therefore this is inapplicable".
They always think of us as a gotcha to screw everyone.

also, addendum: seems like this is targeted for the private security that patrols stations, not conductors.
