hey americans!!!

if your workplace suddenly requires you to get rid of "DEI" or "woke" keywords in documentation/webpages/etc., that's an incredible opportunity for malcompliance!

don't do it properly, don't adjust the wording around the removals to make sense or delete whole pages, no, just have the find & replace tool in your favourite text editor handle it.
Automatically run through all occurences of the keywords, including as parts of other words and such, and replace them all with:

- nothing or
- some obnoxious unicode character like ■
- an entire phrase like "this content has been redacted following an executive order"

The stupider everything ends up looking the merrier. Bonus points if you do it to the backups too

Lovely, wonderful beings, something we maybe all forget every now and then: uninvited opinions/advice (especially those which speak against the preference/opinion/etc. of the poster) are sometimes best either a) not offered or b) offered privately.

People might say this "stifles conversations" — and it does, but maybe the person posting wasn't looking for a conversation and debate?

I know that can be tough, especially given we're all a little bit 'spicy' one way or another, and we just want to share some interesting knowledge or teach someone something. But we're not all here to have those kinds of chats all the time. It can be exhausting, and sometimes very irritating.

Figuring out when is and isn't a good time to offer your opinion is really difficult (or at least it is for me! I often mess that up..!) so the only bit of (uninvited!) advice I could possibly offer there is this — ask :)
