it's absolutely bizarre to me that tumblr is migrating to wordpress?????? like ?? arent they two different things ????? i suppose theyre both kind of blogging sites in some way but ? i dont get it
i think they shoudl make xmpp based microblogging an actual thing (this means someone would have to make a frontend that isnt fucking movim because movim is kinda ass actually)
i guess one issue with xmpp for this purpose is that it doesn't oauth you literally just give your credentials to the client app which doesnt sound like good news for trustworthy web based clients
im imagining a potential video game that has like a medium long storyline, very story focused game, and theres a bunch of melancholy moments as well as happy ones and it makes you feel really attached to the characters, and then at the ending credits the music would be the leama and moor remix of brian eno's "an ending (ascent)" oouggghhh my heart could not take it itd be so emotionallll
