@nonfedimemes Yeah, that sounds about right. In my province, I just saw a modest-sized apartment with no heat or hot water go for $2,000.

Meanwhile, the modest-sized apartment I live in is a little over half the price.

@nonfedimemes i am so glad for my landlords, they always stay in contact and inform us about raises in advance (which always were rather something like minimal water price rise rather than their greediness)

@nonfedimemes this raised the rent from the original £3 to, after much calculation and head-scratching amongst local landlords, a hefty 1003. For a brief period the amount changed to 3.1, but this was swiftly corrected.

Like what how is this even a thing. Being a nice landlord potentially getting screwed over by the local governing body.
