Hi, I'm Tyler! 25 year-old mostly guy who loves programming and reading manga.

I normally live over on @robustjumprope but am trying this single user instance to learn more about self hosting. I was using Iceshrimp but decided to move to GoToSocial. Unfortunately, the account migration process did not work so I am starting fresh!

Some things about me: I'm mildly proficient in Japanese, and am a huge weeb. I particularly love reading manga.

I have a music degree and used to be a music teacher. I play guitar, piano, and trumpet, and I really nerd out over music theory composition/production.

Despite that, I work as a mainly frontend dev now. I mainly program in the wonderful JavaScript programming language at work but in my own projects I have been learning iOS dev in Swift and recently Go and Rust.

I may talk about my anticapitalist views and other political topics, but I always use content warnings. If you ever see a post you think needs a content warning, please let me know!
